Lake Nakuru National Park is a beautiful and compact wildlife sanctuary surrounding a soda lake in Kenya’s Great Rift Valley. The park is especially important for black and white rhino conservation and also shelters Rothschild’s giraffe, buffalo, lion, leopard and a wide variety of birds. Woodland, rocky escarpments, grassland and lakeshore habitats make it an excellent addition to a multi-park Kenya safari.

Wildlife sightings are always natural and never guaranteed, but these species are strongly associated with Lake Nakuru and its surrounding ecosystem.
Lake Nakuru can be visited all year. Dry periods are convenient for road conditions, while wetter months offer greener landscapes and excellent bird activity.
